Musgrove's Mill State Historic Site is the home base for The General James Williams Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. There is quite likely no more beautiful site than these rolling hills. The General James Williams Chapter holds its annual commemoration here each August.
An interesting feature of this site is Horseshoe Falls which provided an overhanging rock where "Horseshoe Robinson" hid from the British during the Revolutionary War. The mill owners daughter, Patriot Mary Musgrove, led Robinson to the safe hiding place.
The Photo below was taken at Horseshoe Falls and shows the Scout Cub Pack 333 cooling off in August 2009.
Postcard showing the Musgrove mill and the Musgrove family home. Card postmarked 1909.
